According to the registrar (Porkbun), i first bought this domain on July 26th 2025 late in the evening (2025-07-26T19:15:40Z). I did actually have a few domains before this but they had some issues with shitty registrars or names that didn't really fit me (mailand.net and e626.net at first, today they're both malicious and i do not suggest visiting them). 5	I-decided-to-switch-back-to-Arch	I decided to switch back to Arch...	So yeah i was previously using Debian on my daily driver laptop, but then i realised it's Debian so it got the software of millenniums ago and they even had the holy audacity to cut off basically every single "important" python3 package and other packages from the repos. So i chose to switch back to Arch Linux (the first distro i was able to install on my system) because of the absolutely gigantic assortment of shiny new packages the repos and the AUR have to offer. 6	Changing-SSL-certs	Changing SSL certs	So i just found out my registrar (Porkbun) offers free Let's Encrypt certificates for root domain and subdomain!! I was previously using certbot to do the same thing but that got messy and i had to generate new certs for each subdomain (i got alot of em really) so now i am rewriting my entire Apache vhost setup to use these new certs. I'm finally retiring Well actually i was supposed to retire yesterday but i still had the final boss to defeat - the math exam, which i actually somehow silently skipped yesterday so i did it today AND THAT ONE DIDN'T EVEN GO WELL so the prof made a deal and told me i have one last chance on Tuesday June 4th. So here i'm creating piclog.red: Now users are automatically verified and can start uploading as soon as their account is created. As the platform will most likely grow in size i will personally select and contact potential members to be elevated to admins, giving the ability to moderate sent images and/or users (maybe a bad idea but i hope not) And i will bump security up a step further to prevent any data leaks. But thing is: On may 15th i lost the charging case for my Galaxy Buds3 FE which are basically my life, and that same day i found a €28 chinese replacement that is somewhat even better cuz it has a little notch to strap it to somewhere so i dont lose it again xD Anyway the expected date of arrival was between june 10th and 11th. today is june 11th and precisely 22:18 PM and i still have not received a spoonful of dog dookie. I've been tracking that package via 17track.net since 2 days ago and then it was in an "alert" state, with the chinese side (China Post) stating it was a "failed delively" outright and the italian side stating very vague stuff, talking about a "package is in Peschiera Borromeo, Milan" and some "return to sender" and another "we are certifying the situation" type stuff. Amazon is dumb and just says "out for delivery" since june 4th and "arriving today" all the time. Today i check 17track.net and at like 9pm it updates, the italian side has apparently removed all updates from it's feed, and the chinese side still says the delivery has failed. Amazon instead updated a few minutes ago (at like 10pm precise) and announced a delay to june 16th. Weirdest thing? up until june 7th the italian side stated "delivered to destination" but then in a paradox says "failed delivery, return to sender" which makes absolutely no sense at all i'll update here or on tweets	2026-06-11 20:25:07
13	Went-to-Rome-uni-and-never-going-back	Went to Rome uni and never going back	Today me and dad woke up at 3am for a 3 hour car ride to Rome. We had to guide and assist my older adult sister to the medicine and surgery faculty of the Tor Vergata university in Rome. She has to take a long series of exams to be admitted into a proper money making career in medicine. The exams started at 9am and finished 9 hours later. 9 hours where me and my dad had to stay outside of the auditorium with basically nothing to do except wander around, eat junk food and peek through the windows to check up on the situation inside that torture chamber of an auditorium. Btw this isn't even the first time we had to do this: we did a similar thing in December of 2025 and she managed to fail the first exam. This time she still failed but at the last interrogation exam. she came out crying. also explained that neither now nor in december did a single student actually pass through all the tests. Now i basically never get political or conspirationist but i'm pretty sure what's happening there is the ones who manage the exams got some recommendeds to do the tests and received money without really minding wether the students pass. For the domain i'm also paying like €8 every February 19th. Now on my prepaid card i have um, quite a bit of money (not above €500, but still way more than what i'd ever personally spend in a year, which itself isnt really that much) so i can 100% afford all of this for like 6 years, but i'm kind of paranoid and i get heart attacks whenever i see my number go down with each billing. I like to preserve money since i'm still young and would benefit so much from every last penny in the future (school/uni, jobs, starting life yk) and while me and my family already have accumulated money in bulk quantities hidden jealously for that reason over a longer time, i still subconsciously get the fear of "wasting money" with all of this website paying thing. 17	The-horror-rides	The horror rides	Today i want to talk about the railway i ride everyday: the Circumflegrea railway, which connects the historic centre of Naples with the urban districts and other municipalities. We riders commonly (wrongly) call it "Cumana" because that's the name of it's older, still active cousin, the Cumana railway, which ends at the same point (Torregaveta (but the Circum railway has closed the Torregaveta-Licola tract)) which passes through the seaside and into other seaside municipalities. Problem: this railway has been poorly maintained ever since it's conception between 1961 and the 70s - when the holding company wasn't EAV but the legendary SEPSA -, almost 100% due to lack of proper funding (same thing is happening with every other railway owned by EAV or other private entities, look at the Roma-Viterbo and Metromare railways in the Rome region. Here we have not one but 2 curves that the trains must pass through. Problem is that, well, the curves rattle. A lot. I myself don't know the reason (either rail corrugation or a problem with the train wheels) but whenever the train has to make any curve it starts to make very loud noises and vibrations that debilitate my legs for a few seconds. Here we have yet another one of those loud curves, but with the added bonus of being heavily banked relative to the train's speed (so much that the train bounces left and right a lot!!) and there is a quite short railway switch near the Pisani station: whenever the train, in Licola direction (the station at the other end of the active line) approach that at high speed it really does feel like we're all dying and going on the news in that very moment</div> <div class="centered">This next one i haven't shot a photo but it's alright since it's under a dark tunnel, but it's basically at the end of the Flegrea tunnel near Montesanto station. Some train drivers get distracted or aren't really the best, and whenever they have to encounter the switch system that's at Montesanto station and go way too fast, that's what i call a true horror ride. If you haven't read the previous blog post, do that - it gives context Also no train pics today, srry Anyway i have to talk about this since i find this both extremely funny and tragic because of it's nature. So it has never happened to me, since the day i first got on this railway when i was 4, that the (qualified i presume) train conductor stopped at a station, did NOT open the doors to let anyone in or out, and just, departed??? Without having boarded anyone? Cuz that's what happened to me for the first time this morning while i was trying to go on a walk in the historic centre. I even tried yelling at the train conductor from outside the cockpit to open the door but either they didn't hear me or they somehow ignored me. And mind you there were 3 crew members in the cockpit, meaning they could have never in a million years have "forgotten" to open the door. There were me and a group of other travelers which were also just as scandalised by this. There was also a young woman who had to get on but couldn't of course. We later discussed about this for a bit and she pointed out that - i kid you not - this is the 4th time in recent times that this has happened!! Meaning it's not an isolated case at all!! Anyway i had to wait another 25 mins for the next delayed train - at one point in the journey some rude ass guy got on with a lawnchair, unfolded it and just sat in the middle of the doors Q_Q Oh and btw as i travelled i noticed the amount of ppl on the platforms throughout the railway doubled - so this means that the rogue train from before probably hit even more people as it passed!!
